Contact lenses are a safe and effective way to correct many types of vision problems. There are currently many options for patients who are nearsighted, farsighted, astigmatic, or wearing multifocal lenses.
During the examination one of our doctors will determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contacts. If they are, the doctor will discuss with you which lens type would be most appropriate and perform a contact lens fitting. Proper fitting is important to prevent long term complications such as abrasions or infections. As part of the fitting you will be provided with lenses for a one week trial so that you can assess the comfort and vision of your new contacts. At the one week follow up, the doctor will evaluate how well your eye is adapting to the new lens.
Once you have been given your prescription for contacts you may order your lenses in the office, over the phone, or conveniently 24 hours a day via our website.
